Change

Change

Don't Let Fear Of Change Control Your Life Sometimes we become so used to be fearful all the time, that we can actually get to a place where we do not even recognise that we are living our lives in constant fear. When we live in fear, we are always thinking about all the things that could go wrong. With all the negativity around us, it is very common to allow fear and anxiety to affect us. Not knowing what the future holds for us, plays a huge role in anxiety and worry. The problem is that some of us have the need to feel in control of what is happening all the time, but uncertainty is unavoidable, and thinking about negative outcomes doesn’t help us. Sometimes we need to just dare to proceed even while being afraid. Letting go of fear not only helps us to embrace change, but it also has a positive impact on our mind and our health. In order stop to living in fear, and expecting the worst to always happen, we need to adjust our thoughts, we need to look at things from a different perspective, a more positive one. Our problems are often rooted in fear. Fear leaves us powerless, thinking that we’re not good enough, and it takes away our confidence. We need to learn to accept our feelings, including fear, without letting it stop us. If you want to change something in your life, take a moment to analyse if fear is what is motivating your behaviour. Our mind and our thoughts are powerful, that’s why we need to focus on what we are attracting into our lives. Taking control of your present moment means being responsible for your life, and understanding that you are capable of change. If you find yourself in an unhealthy and toxic relationship, if your work is not giving you the recognition you desire, if you are not happy with the way you are behaving or the way you look, you are moving away from who you truly are. We need to live an authentic life where our joys and blessings are greater than pain and negativity, and in order to do that, we must let go of the past, stop internalising past issues, and train our mind to think about what we want from life. Negative thinking is the cause of worry and fear, and it has the power to stop us from putting our actions into motion, and letting go of what is holding us back. Getting used to a pattern of negative thinking feels like building a prison in your own mind. Be aware of what you think and talk back to your negative thoughts, this is where the real change occurs. Recognise that sometimes, your fear is not rational, and it is causing you intense anxiety or panic. Fear can be used as a tool to help us identify problems, and solve them effectively, but there is absolutely nothing good that can come from spending your time worrying. Most of the terrible things we imagine and we afraid of, is caused by a habit of negative thinking that we probably built over the years. Acknowledge the positive things in your life in order to feel empowered, and take control of your thoughts and your actions. Fear makes you always be discontent and wanting more. A courageous person focus on his/her strengths. They choose to act because they know that they don’t need something outside themselves, in order to make things better. They understand that they have the tools to change their own future. Reflect on your fears and notice how much they affect your life. If fear is making you hesitate about making a decision, get to know the situation better, by owning your feelings. This is the first step toward gaining control over the situation and plan your future actions. You don’t need to ignore your fears, you just need to figure out a way to stop this negative feeling to control your mind and your behaviour. Remember that you have the power to let go of unhealthy thoughts and beliefs, but you need to be patient and kind with yourself, because it takes time to break a habit. Every day, make a conscious effort to challenge your fears. Remember that you are in control to direct your thoughts, and live a better life. Ask for spiritual guidance and stay determined to persevere and fight for your dreams, even when it seems impossible.

Jealousy

Jealousy

In the latest episode of the popular BBC production Downton Abbey, jealousy plays a leading role in a dramatic show down between the two sisters who live at the namesake of the series. Each sister has a love interest where they are weighing decisions about their relationship futures when one, through her own actions experiences an emotional set back igniting her jealousy towards the other. This stewing of jealousy prompts her to reveal a secret that blows apart her sister's martial and happiness prospects. Such is the power of jealousy. It can pop up anywhere, love, family, work, friends anywhere a heart's desire gets fixated you can find the potential for jealousy. Like a bad toothache once the infection takes hold it requires a good yank to get rid of. The same when jealousy takes hold of our spirit and heart we need to remove the infection of our insecurities, fears and blames, because once settled in it only continues to grow. The legendary green eyed monster of our personality jealousy has been written and sung about for centuries. This has probably been so because all of us have been touched by its wicked finger. Some of us still do. Jealousy has to be one of the biggest factors of stress if you are in such an encounter. There is help and it starts with valuing and respecting ourselves. As a Tarot reader I encounter many a kind soul who is in the midst of stress and confusion because their lover has dropped out of communication and connection, leaving them broken and wondering why. Many times this question of why can eat at the confidence and value they have in themselves turning it into doubt and jealousy. The cards will point out through the journey of love we need to have such encounters to learn what we want out of a partner, is equal to knowing what we do not want. And when our true nature starts to change because of others then we know we need to take a step back to gain an understanding it is not our fault or how we want act. My Grandmother always used to say, 'you cannot control the thoughts and actions of others, only those of yourself.' This sage advice has helped guide me through many a difficult encounter, especially with regards to issues of jealousy; from my own point of views as well as encounters with others. When our thoughts recognize we have started an internal conversation based on jealousy, we must learn to change the conversation to working out the issues of jealousy instead of letting it guide our thoughts and actions. By knowing we must value and respect ourselves completely, jealousy will have no place in our heart or thoughts. You know your worth and feel it is a prize to yourself and others. You value the wonder for the positive as well as understand when it is move away from others when you have this appreciation. We can also look honestly at situations that spark our jealousy to activate so we can extinguish its fire from starting. We then can look at the situation we are facing clearly without the thick veil of jealousy to cloud our judgement. There is freedom and empowerment in this type of thinking. When we like ourselves enough jealousy does not have a place to even enter the conversation. If you are the one instigating trouble or the cause of another's down fall because of your jealousy issues - stop. You need to get hold of the belief you have in yourself to navigate the outcome and healing properly. Throughout the Downton Abbey series, just about everyone knew the potential for harm from one sister's appalling behavior when she choose to be mean spirited and jealous but yet no one called her out completely so she could stop. Do not be this sister or an idle bystander. When given the freedom to expand and feel it can play anywhere, jealousy will hurt everyone, eventually including you.

True Love

True Love

True love and spirituality are connected. We look for a special someone to give us love, and return us to a state where we feel supported and safe. Love can be the inspiration behind many of our dreams, actions and thoughts. But, there can be no love without the selflessness of an evolved spirit and there is no spirituality that is not based on love. Sometimes the connection you have made with another person has karmic issues, and love will give you the chance for spiritual growth. Love, without any rules, conditions, limitations or neediness is spiritual love. Love represents a connection that is eternal, abundant, and without conditions. True love allow us to grow, and teaches us valuable lessons. We are in this world to learn to use the our essence in order to find completion. It’s important to remember that the energy of our soul follows the thoughts we have. Wherever we send this spiritual energy in the material world, things are manifested. When we’re with the right partner, we’ll know it, because we feel calm and we are able to simply merge with our partner's energy, without questioning his/her intentions. When we find true love, there is a intense feeling of wanting to connect to the other person, and a real sense of knowing his/her essence. Real love respect for you and allow you to discover who you truly are. Spiritual connection and true love do not make you feel overwhelmed, and there are no feelings of urgency. Real love invade your senses, and lead you to a journey of self discovery. You know that you found the person that is spiritually connected with you when he/she makes you love yourself more and more. When your love connection is well established, you are easily and naturally focused on your loved one. You feel full and complete. A spiritual love connection reaches a deeper level than any other relationship. Whether you believe in soul mate, or you dream about someone special out there who is meant just for you, there are a lot of signs that will make you be sure that you're on the right track to find love. Allow your intuition to guide you when it comes to relationships. We need to understand that true love doesn’t have to be perfect, and you can still have a feeling of spaciousness in the relationship, but you also have a strong sense that your loved one is very present and close. Remember that it’s impossible to be 100% compatible with someone, and just because you’re spiritually connected doesn’t automatically mean a happily ever after, it means that despite any obstacles, both of you will discover and maintain a healthy relationship and true closeness. If your relationship is lacking a spiritual connection, it’s important to recognise when your ego is controlling your emotions and thoughts. Realise that you are in charge of the thoughts you choose to have. When you feel authentically connected to someone, you also feel that you are connected to your inner self. True love respects who you are, and makes you feel comfortable to express your flaws. There’s nothing like the feeling of sharing your life with the person that are meant to be part of your journey, it’s an experience that can transform your mind and heart. It makes you move away from your ego, and towards spiritual growth.

Divine Spirit

Divine Spirit

The Divine Spirit is our Guide along our journey. He knows every step of the journey. He knows where we’ve been and where we’re going, and He knows the best path to take. I believe that the Divine Spirit guides us through our inner wisdom, also called intuition. When life isn’t going how we’d hoped, and we don’t trust the Divine Spirit, it’s easy to try and take the wheel from Him and do things our way, but when we do that, and we don’t trust Him, we will most likely end up emotionally and spiritually drained, because we detour from our life’s purpose. Sometimes, it’s difficult to deal with uncertainty. We do not even know what is happening now in another part of the world, let alone what is going to happen in the future. We don’t know other people’s intentions, but the Divine Spirit knows everything. And He will help us to overcome any obstacle in our way. Trusting the Holy Spirit leads to contentment, and the confidence that we are exactly where we need to be, doing what we need to do, and fulfilling the role we were destined to. It’s virtually impossible to live a happy life without experiencing intimacy with the Higher Power and enjoying the blessing to depend on His Spirit. When using the help of the Divine Spirit to manage our fears, we need to be aware of how God is working in our lives. Fear is a negative emotion, and it may be real or imaginary, but without faith, it’s difficult to get through it. If we trust that the Divine Spirit can guide, equip, empower, and care for us, we don’t have to feel that we must always be in control of things, we can trust Him to do a brilliant job with our lives, and the lives of people we care for. We need to ask and open our hearts to divine guidance in order to follow your authentic life path. The first step to find our true path and trust the Divine Spirit guidance, is letting go of fear. Some of us lose sight of from our true path because we are afraid to follow it. Our lives are full of responsibility, and we fear that following the right path may not support us, or that we might have to leave a lot of things behind in order to be in it, but learning to listen to the Spirit and respond in faith, is essential to live a purposeful life. Sometimes the answers we look for is not that obvious, and that is why we must be spiritually aware in order to be sensitive to the answers that the Divine Spirit gives us. Nurturing our spiritual side means that instead of using all our energies to achieve the things we want to achieve, we turn our focus to achieve the things that we were created to achieve. Too often we trust our own abilities, believing that we can figure out how to take care of our own problems, but, in my life for example, I’ve noticed that things go much more smoothly when I give up control, and allow things to happen, instead of forcing them to have the outcome I desire. The decision to trust the Divine Spirit will always be the right one for you. The Holy Spirit is ready, willing and able to guide you through the challenges of your life, and the amazing thing is that we can all connect to our inner wisdom to guide us. Living your life in faith means holding on to the truth, over and over again, however long the battle lasts. When we are in the right path, we notice an increase in coincidences and alignment in our lives, and we are blessed with insights from the Divine Spirit, allowing His wishes to manifest in reality. Welcome the Holy Spirit into your life, and give Him the opportunity to produce the results for you. Listen to the still, small voice within. Increase your spiritual awareness by praying, meditating and being mindful. Sometimes the Divine Spirit will not manifest in an audible voice, but just a feeling within your spirit. There are many ways you can ask for help and guidance from the Higher Power. Since I've started journalling, I’ve noticed that my intuition levels increased, and now I have many more insights and retrospective knowledge. I’ve learned that when we don’t trust our inner wisdom, we are resisting the Spirit’s work in our lives. Let go of fear, worry and doubt. Let go of burdens. Let the Divine Spirit take care of every aspect of your life. You will find rest in the peace, love and presence of the Higher Power. Living under the influence of the Holy Spirit is a life-changing experience.

Work Effectively To Stay Happy

Work Effectively To Stay Happy

Work is something that defines our movement in life. The work as such differs from one person to another in terms of what the person strives to achieve with the resultant of the effort that they put on their work. This varies from the effort that a person puts at home in their domestic activities to serve the needs of their family, the effort that they put on their work outside of the house to win their daily bread, the effort that they put on themselves to keep them happy and the effort that they put in order to uplift a community in some way. A right balance of all these tasks makes an individual feel wholesome spiritually. As with the variety of work an individual is destined to perform, there could be some area of challenges that he/she encounters in terms of inclination to the work. On observation, we can notice that work can be categorized as follows. Work that you love to do (your passion) We work towards what we love, to nourish us well. Work that you are neutral about, but do it dutifully We do things that we are neutral about, to serve a purpose that might or might not be directly beneficial to us, but still we do it. Work that you are not at all inclined to, but do it dutifully We do things that we sometimes hate to do, but avoiding to do it altogether might put us into more trouble, so we do it. Work that you are not inclined to, but are imposed by external factors This last category of work calls our discretion. We might be imposed with a task by others that serve self-interest of some people, but does not serve us any good. In this case, when the hurdle comes from an outside factor, it takes all our assertiveness to say "No". Saying No is better in ways that you do not overburden with something and you can fill up with things that will be fruitful otherwise. Dealing with the subtle challenge that this category of work makes us 'effectively' take the responsibility on our shoulders rather than being responsible for many things that you need not. As we can see from the above, none of the categories are totally avoidable in life. But you can very well fill your life at maximum with things that you love doing the most. Make lot of time to nourish yourself and work towards growing up in the arena that you love doing. Give priority to the less relevant tasks as and when required. This way you wash away the term "burden" that you associate with work and rather you start enjoying work and view work as a way to spiritual growth.

The path of inner happiness

The path of inner happiness

I have always been interested in reading articles about how to be happy in life, as I think sometimes we can find happiness somewhere we never looked before. Some of the happiest moments in my life came from little blessings, small pleasures, even a talk to a friend filled with laughter or a simple board game. One day I read something that says: "happiness depends on our attitudes toward the little things”. It made sense to me. I understood that even when times get tough, I could make a decision to count my blessings, and to be happy. I realised that in order to be a happy individual I needed to understand that my happiness does not revolve around things, it revolves around my spiritual and personal philosophy of life. If I pay attention to my inner thoughts, my inner feelings, avoid negative thoughts and encourage positive thoughts, I am creating a positive intention that will show in my external behaviour. I make a DECISION to be happy every morning, that gives me energy for a positive life. When I decide to be grateful and happy, I have to let go of the past, worries and insecurities. I need to give up control and learn to embrace the new and welcome change in my life. As a tarot reader, I also use the nine of cups to inspire me when it comes to happiness. When the nine of cups comes into my readings, it brings me a sense of joy and happiness by being emotionally fulfilled, counting the blessings, and understanding that being emotionally balanced is a process that starts from within. When I look at the nine of cups, I see the satisfaction found in living in the moment. It inspires me to look for things to be happy about and appreciate the perfection around me. We should think about happiness as a daily practice, and allow ourselves to be happy, we have to live in a way that we grow into the light and not into the darkness. Let’s choose to live in essence.

 Caculate Your Soul Card

Caculate Your Soul Card

How to calculate your soul card, and learn more about yourself We can use tarot cards to learn more about ourselves. In my opinion, one of the most powerful ways to get to know yourself is through tarot. It helps us connect to our inner wisdom and understand about the differences between who we were and who we are becoming. There is a quote that says: "To find yourself, first learn about yourself”. Finding the real you through tarot is an enlightening experience. By adding our date of birth, we can figure out which tarot card represents our soul. The Soul Card indicates our soul purpose for all our lifetimes. If we look at the tarot major arcana, we can match our soul card with the corresponding card from the major arcana. For example, my birth date is 21 October 1980. To calculate my soul card I add 2+1+1+1+9+8+0 = –> 2+2 = 4. So, my birth number is four. This makes my soul card 4 - The Emperor. When we get a number with 2 digits, we need to keep adding the digits together until we get a single digit number. Your soul number will be a number between 1 - 9. If your soul card is Number 1: The Magician The Magician is an excellent omen symbolising new opportunities, the importance of new enterprise and that you will have the willpower and initiative to succeed in whatever you do. The number of the Magician is one, the number of beginnings. If you have The Magician as a soul card, you are able to be in control of every aspect of your life and make your dreams come true. Number 2:The High Priestess The High Priestess represents Balance, psychic abilities, intuition, reaction, response, depth, undercurrents, serenity, and knowledge. The High Priestess is our guide to our inner self and its potential. You are able to feel and sense things around you. You are the kind of person who can trust your gut instincts, feelings and dreams. Number 3: The Empress If you have The Empress as a soul card you have the ability to create and influence the things around you. The Empress symbolises love, reassurance, prosperity and birth. The Empress is a creator, be it creation of life, of romance, of art or business. The Empress' ability to mother goes beyond the womb, however. She is patient, loving, giving, generous, devoted. The ultimate nurturer. Number 4: The Emperor The Emperor card is the "Who's the boss?" card. The meaning of the card includes being in control over your environment, your body, your temper, your instincts, your love life. People who have the Emperor as a soul card are natural born leaders, they have the ability to control things. Number 5: The Hierophant The Hierophant is very conventional. You have a desire to follow due process and to stay within the conventional bounds of what is typically an orthodox approach. Instead of being innovative, you have the ability to believe, and you live by a structured system of beliefs with a strong system of morals, standards, ethics and traditions. Number 6: The Lovers People with the Lovers as a soul card, are people who have the ability to care passionately about things. The Lover's card is about "harmony." Thus, it is about you seeking something that speaks to you, that you "know" and recognise as your other or mirror self (twin), and which makes you feel harmonically balanced or complete. Number 7: The Chariot Life for you it's about getting what you want, you have the ability to achieve your goals and conquer things. You must have faith that there is nothing that can stand in your way. The Chariot is a marvelous card in that it can assure success no matter the odds. Number 8: The Justice People with Justice as their soul card have the ability to evaluate things. Justice is about cold, objective balance through reason or natural force. You seek balance and you hear both sides of any story before drawing any conclusions. You make a fair judgement and you are a very good listener. It’s all about adjustment. Number 9: The Hermit The Hermit as a soul card indicates a feeling of a deeper reality and begin to search for it. If you have the Hermit as a soul card you know that answers do not lie in the external world, but in yourself. Like an artist who hides away for days then emerges to paint a masterpiece, you like to have time to yourself to allow things to fall into place. This card represent seeking of all kinds, especially for deeper understanding or the truth of a situation.

Life

Life

Life is a journey, an adventure. As we begin to experience life, we create an Ego. The soul is our true self. Sometimes our ego can cause us problems, because ego is often competitive and sometimes it can create a delusion about who we really are. Our decisions and the way we lead our actions should be based on our soul, not our ego. It is a real challenge to understand our own self and open our heart to listen to the inner voice coming from the soul. Our soul is comfortable with mystery, our ego needs to be safe, our ego creates fear. It is actually made of fear. Those who allow their ego to be the sole dictator of their behaviour live in a constant state of suffering. The ego only seeks out short term satisfaction, and external comforts that never last. The Ego is the opposite of our true self because it makes us rely on others perceptions to feel good, and fear their judgement, be afraid of failure, and then, when things go wrong, our Ego automatically blame others for our situation in life. The problem starts when we feed the Ego unnecessarily, with all sorts of neurotic ideas, paranoid notions. The Ego holds us back. It says, "You are going to fail". "You should stop dreaming". "You are not able to accomplish your projects in life". Our soul is the counter force for the Ego. The way I see it, inside every human being, there are two opposing forces battling against one another: Soul and Ego. The best way to fight our ego is having positive thoughts and a joyful outlook in life. I think meditation is also a great way to get in touch with our spiritual side and become deeply connected with our true self. If we want to be free, we need to let go of our Ego, and embrace our authentic self.

Do You Wonder About Spirituality?

Do You Wonder About Spirituality?

Spirituality means something different to everyone. For some, it's about participating in religion: going to church, a synagogue, a mosque, etc. For others, it's more personal: through yoga, meditation, quiet reflection, or even long walks. So Spirituality has no dictionary definition but can be seen as the search for "the sacred," or something worthy of veneration. The use of the term "spirituality" has changed throughout the ages. Now we tend to think of it as a blend of humanistic thinking with a mixture of mystical traditions and eastern religions all aimed at self improvement and development. The notion of "spiritual experience" plays an important role in the way live today but it’s all pretty recent in western civilization. You may want to think about the Beatles and how they went to India to study spirituality. So why do we practice something that there is no definition for and certainly no set of hard and fast rules? Spirituality can help us maintain good mental and physical health. It can help us cope with everyday stress and can keep our feet on the floor. Tolerant and inclusive spiritual communities can provide us with valuable support. There is some evidence of links between spirituality and improvements in people’s mental health, although researchers do not know exactly how this works.(that seems to fit in with spirituality...) Spirituality can also help us deal with mental distress or mental illness. Spirituality can bring a feeling of being connected to something bigger than yourself and it can provide a way of coping in addition to your own mental resilience. So how do you practice spirituality, pretty easy to start actually! Spend some time alone, no phone, TV or computer and simply be in that place at that time and listen to the silence and relax. I know you hear this all the time but learn to meditate Gaze at the stars and feel how huge the universe is and conversely how small you are Spend time in nature and try to be at one with it Follow your gut or intuition - be true to yourself Forgive and forget those who have hurt you Broaden your horizons by learning new things or travelling Laugh and laugh Hope you are on your way to spirituality?

Feng Shui

Feng Shui

Feng Shui is the Chinese philosophical system of harmonizing humananity with its environment. The Feng Shui looks at architecture in metaphoric terms of "invisible forces" that bind the universe, earth, and man together, known as chi or energy. Feng Shui was widely used to design buildings—especially spiritual structures like tombs, but also dwellings and other structures. Depending on the particular style of Feng Shui being used, an auspicious site could be determined by reference to local features such as bodies of water, stars, or a compass. Feng means wind and shui means water. In Chinese culture wind and water are associated with good health, thus good Feng Shui came to mean good fortune, while bad Feng Shui means bad luck, or misfortune. They believed that specific land's energy could either make or break the kingdom, so to speak. The theories of yin and yang, as well as the five Feng Shui elements, are some of the basic aspects of a Feng Shui analysis that come from Taoism. The main tools used in a Feng Shui analysis are the Compass and the Bagua. The Feng Shui energy map, or Bagua, is an octagonal grid containing the symbols of the I Ching, the ancient oracle on which Feng Shui is based. Knowing the Bagua of your home will help you understand the connection of specific Feng Shui areas of your home to specific areas of your life. So there are many courses on Feng Shui but here are a few simple steps to start balance the chi in your home - Clear out your clutter; get rid of everything you do not love in your house. Remember clearing physical clutter helps to remove mental clutter. Open the window and let in the light, essential for allowing chi to flow through your home, purify your air with plants and crystals Be aware of the feel of your home and how its energy influences your well-being. Make a habit of paying close attention to the so-called Feng Shui "trinity" your bedroom, your bathroom and your kitchen which strongly influence your health. For even more in depth Feng Shui in your home find out which of the five elements you need in your home, - Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water. Find Out Your Feng Shui Birth Element and create a home to nourish and support that energy. Remember this is the year of the wooden horse so your bedroom should be clean and soft with off-white and soft pastels, or white with accents of brown, beige, gold or silver to introduce the metal element. The bathroom should be a cheerful and comfortable space with blues and white, and accents of black, wood, natural fibres and stone. If walls are white, consider painting this room, because this is a water element room and too much white is too much metal, creating conflict. Blessings to your and your home Beverley
